When I got the 7RM 54 years ago H4831 and 160 gr. Nosler Partition was my go to for serious work.

I haven't had a 7mm Rem Mag for many years now but I looked back in my old reloading notebook and found I was very close to what Bob just said. I used it for antelope in Wyoming many years ago and shot that same bullet but the powder was IMR 4831. That combo pushed things along at 2,835 fps. The rifle was a Winchester Model 70 with a Leopold 3 X 9 scope. Kind of wish I still had that one. It was a shooter!

I'm running either 160 gr Sierra Game Kings BTHP or 162 gr SST with Retumbo Remington brass CCI 250 primer Remington 700 26" 9.25 twist barrel.holds inch at 200 yards. Been told these bullets are to heavy for Pa Whitetail but I figured it be a good combo for bear and deer.

"Bullets are too heavy for Pa. Whitetails", simple just shoot bigger deer! I have never thought of a bullet being too heavy for any game, unnecessary maybe. Heavy bullets don't do any more damage than lighter bullets and maybe even less.
