This past tue. 8-2-16 was National Night Out. This is for the community to come out and to interact with law enforcement and also fire-rescue-ems services. My local had a nice turn out for the event. This year as in years past the local Repub. and Dem. parties were on hand for their causes. The Republican side had their signs supporting Trump&Pence our US Congressman running for reelection also our Republican US Senator also reelect. Along with those my PA State rep reelect. The Democrat table had register to vote papers out. Their candidate running against my state rep was on hand which BTW I do have respect for. He was the only visible campaign object there. Not one item not one for their candidates for president not one item for the senate or any other office. As in years past they always had items of their candidates on hand. This was a shock to me.

Hacker, in my experience, some events are more productive for campaign purposes than others. I once went to the County Fair, and people were polite, but they were there for other reasons. I finally stopped trying to work the crowd and went to exhibits with my name tag on. If people were interested they approached me and we chatted. If I saw someone I knew, I said hi, but I got more mileage out of the quiet approach. Interesting observation, but they may be saving their strength for the stretch run. (That or they've been listening to their own propaganda and they're afraid of the cops !)

Pooh,
My community has one more big event coming up next week and both will be there also. This one last time of a presidential election the Dems had their stuff out in force. I'll have to check in on this to see if they have their items reserved for this event.

Well I was off on the time the next event was this past three days Aug. 18 to 20. as I stated earlier both parties were at this event also The Republican side had all their stuff as last I posted. The Democrats only had their stuff for the person running for the US Senate against the Republican incumbent. NOT a thing for president!!!! The last two times they had for president plastered wall to wall and treetop tall. Not showing any confidence at all for president. I was shocked again.

My daughter came from Missouri, my son and grand son, my wife and I had a nice dinner of grilled "porter house" pork chops, corn on the cobb, my son, G'son and I share 10/5. G'son is 4 minutes early though @ 10/4.
Pooh I hope you find to right house .
