Today is a day I shall never forget, nor will I forgive those who did it.
I have a short anecdote about my day to share. I went to work after experiencing the live TV showing the horrific event. I was working on a ridge, with my son, building a new road for the county when I saw the last aircraft to fly in U.S. air space, a 747 escorted by 2 F18s, I think. This was followed shortly by an event that actually brought a shiver up my back. At eye level, about 1,200' ASL, and about 30' away a Bald Eagle flew past. This was significant to me as I hadn't seen one in our area for several years.

Bob, So right we that care for our country shall never forget. So with that we must keep an eye on those that hold and want to be elected into office as there are one that only care for themselves and don't give a rats ass about us or our nation.

I was at work at a construction site.....got a call from my daughter.....went home....to watch the horror.
The feds ordered all air traffic on the ground.....
I live very near a VOR air traffic beacon. That means the contrails in the sky are always legion.....coming from every direction crossing very nearly above my head as they travel to destinations such as Denver, Phoenix, Dallas, Albuquerque, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Fransisco........so suddenly seeing the sky just blue with no aircraft in it was eerie quiet, and way too blue....and it stayed that way for....what for days?? Don't remember how long.
I have a nephew who once flew Harriers for the Marines, who was a commercial pilot, who was "off" for the day while his good friend, who took his flight that day, died in the cockpit of the "missile" that hit the pentagon. He had a hard time.....still does.
The weekend before....I was called as a bishop in the LDS Church to lead a "flock" for a few years......I remember thinking this might mean war on our American soil....and I might have more to do than I even considered. I remember thinking was I up to the task to be a spiritual leader to a people at war. At least that part thankfully was not to be......at least not here at home. But at the time we didn't know, did we?
God Bless America? I hope that God can continue to find enough good here to continue his blessing of America. Our politics are scaring me......all good is being attacked and somehow good is bad and politically wrong. Heaven help us. I doubt Sodom and Gomorrah were that much worse than some places in America today. We need to fight back more than we do, I'm afraid.
