That is right guys a new reloader from MEC the maker of a very fine reloader for your shotshell needs. But wait this new reloader is NOT for shotshell it is for cartridge reloading. Yes indeed for handgun and rifle. I'll give some links so you can have a look see for your opinions of this new press offered by MEC and a link to my #1 source for shotshell reloading Ballistic Products which BTW has this press on sale and free shipping on this and all MEC reloaders til the end of Dec. www.mecshootingsports.com/metallic-reloaders-productswww.ballisticproducts.com/MEC-Metallic-Reloader/products/841/

Thanks Gary! Are you trying to spend my money?
I looked at it and it seems priced between RCBS and Redding. It looks strong but I'm not liking the support layout they may be in the way even though they appear to be set back. I'll have to see one to make a final judgement, other than that it looks good and stout.

Thanks Gary ~ I sure appreciate your keeping an eye out for us on these tidbits you share. Like Bob said, I think I'll have to see one before I take the plunge. I had a MEC 600 jr. back in my shotgun days and always liked their quality. The one thing I really liked in this new press is the retainer for the shell-holder; that looks like a great and simple idea. Thanks again for all you do here, I know you put in a lot of time but you've kept this site alive and I know the rest of the guys want to say THANKS too. ~ Larry (SnapShot)

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

What Larry said.
It will be interesting to look this over. If it's MEC, my guess is it will be a good piece of goods. Good to see them move out of their comfort zone.

Gentlemen you are most welcome. Yes Pooh it is a MEC as Larry likes it is made in the USA at the MEC plant in Mayville, WI. Yes indeed MEC makes a good quality product as most of my friends that load shotshell use a MEC. I also like the retainer for the shell holder but like you guys I also have to see one up close and personal and do the touchy feely to make a decision. As for the newest single stage press that are out this one from MEC and this past year the one from Hornady both have caught my eye as I like how Hornady's press that you can put other accessories like deburr and chamfer or primer pocket cleaner.
