Not a thing related to our sport. No firearm, no reloading equipment of any kind, no bullets-powder-primers. Am I saddened by this? NO not at all as I got to spend time with all my grandchildren and they liked what pappy cooked up for the main part of the meal. I did a 19lb. turkey in my smoker that I put on at midnight. I then made the stuffing on the stove top in one of my cast iron kettles and no it was not the box stuff either. Well my stuffing was a big hit that I have to make it that way again. Yes having all the kids here was my Christmas joy. Oh for as opening a present I did get a "Hillshire Farms" snack package of meat, cheese, and crackers. I hope your gatherings went as well.

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Hacker, sounds like the real deal ! Mine went well, also. I am afraid I'm getting a reputation from hanging around with you, however. I got, from various people, four pounds of coffee ! That should keep me alert for the remainder of the Obama administration !

Well i did get something related to our sport. I'm always pushing my sons buttons by finding something expensive and then saying, "why don't you buy me that", then he rolls his eyes. Well this year he went all out and bought me a RCBS Charge Master Combo. I guess that boy is alright. lol

As for "sport related" . . . I received the Hornady Reloading Manual #10. As for the real Christmas gifts . . . We spent the day with all the kids and grand kids. Traditional Christmas Morning with presents, aebelskivers and old fashioned hot coco (made with baking coco). Then in the evening we had a baked ham dinner with all the fixin's. Best part was family time with the whole family together. All in all it was what Christmas time is all about. Merry Christmas everyone and Happy New Year ! PS ~ Bob ~ Each of us in the family got the same DNA kit you mentioned. We'll see how good these kits are and see where each branch of the family came from. Should be interesting.
PPS~ Aebelskivers are a Danish treat. Made of a pancake type batter but cooked in a pan that looks like an egg tray. As the batter cooks you roll them with knitting needles to form a ball. You eat them by pulling the ball open and putting in jam or jelly or brown sugar or maple syrup or . . . .

So are you two also into genealogy? I try, but I have a hard time doing the research. My daughter got the "kit" this year for Christmas too......that might open a can of worms for me.... Some say I'm related to William Bonny.....hope not. Not your upstanding ancestor. I got a Lead Sled from my kids. Been wanting something to shoot my ".22/.243 project rifle" anchored...from a distance....to make sure it doesn't explode and add scars or worst to the wrinkles in my face. Don't need one of these > or these> ! Wife and I are putting our Christmas money to each other into our house again this year...she's really hot on the remodel! Only one small problem.....I still only have one arm....stupid rotator cuff surgery takes a long time to heal......ugh.......reminds me...... P&T appointment in the morning......again.....really tired of pain and torture appointments....been going on since labor day!
