Yes that's right gentlemen Colt is back in the revolver market at least for now it seems. Colt is bringing back the Colt Cobra revolver. It is a two inch in 38 SPL and is rated for +P ammo. This is not just the same old revolver from days gone by. NO it is the Cobra with upgrades to it. One of the upgrades that I like is the interchangeable front sight options. It still has the milled grove for the rear sight but with the front sight options one can custom it to ones own liking. Will Colt put forth newer revolvers after this one? Only time will tell. I still to this day kick myself for not getting a Colt Diamondback in the 38 SPL and in a four inch barrel. Here is one link and there is another that I'll have to see if I can find it. I found it click on the video for your viewing pleasure. www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2017/1/1/the-keefe-report-colt-cobra-a-new-factory-double-action-colt/rangehot.com/new-colt-cobra-38-special-revolver/

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

It will be interesting to see how these turn out. Back when Colt went into bankruptcy (for the umpteenth time !) the conventional wisdom was they had a bunch of IP assets that were worth something, and a pile of worn out machinery and obsolete physical plant. Hopefully, with new technology, they can make a product worthy of the marque. Wonder what their pricing structure will be ? This is a very different market these days. I had a Python for 20+ years, and sold it off after admitting that it was too nice to take out of the safe ! Excess went to some college or other, and a small amount went toward a used Ruger Security Six, that I shot more in the first two weeks than I'd shot the Python in two decades ! Thanks for scoping this out, Hacker !
(I hit the wrong button, so I'm including a gratuitous emoticon thingie !)

Poo ~ I too owned a Python and took it out of the safe and held it and looked at it and on VERY FEW occasions I actually shot it. I have only owned a few Safe Queens over the years but that sure was one. Even though I talked myself into letting it go . . . . to this day I wish I had it back. Gary ~ I'm glad to see Colt coming back to market and I'll sure look at this new offering but will have to see it before I make a commitment to one. ~ SnapShot (Larry)
