Went to my LGS this afternoon (too wet to work) to sell my RCBS Auto Priming on consignment,it was the strip type tool, I hadn't used it in a few years for one reason or another. I had spied an RCBS Master Case measuring tool while there a few days ago,it was pre owned but unused. The shop owner happened to have a good customer who needed my priming tool because of a physical issue so I gave the tool to him,no strings or cost. The shop owner in return gave me the measuring tool at no cost. The "trade" was unexpected but as I've said before customer loyalty pays.

Bob, A very nice trade indeed. Those that do good towards others will have it returned to them at some point and your was mighty quick I should say. Hats off to you for helping that guy out.

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Yep. That sort of thing doesn't happen at the box stores.

Good for you Bob. It's nice to see but unfortunately too infrequent these days.

Bob,
Nice to have a feel good day once in a while. No small shops around me anymore......miss em for sure. At least we have a local gun club we all take part in.....good things happen there too. Hard to beat gun folks.
In December the club started a swap meet to take place 1 hour before our monthly meeting. That sounds fun, but I haven't got to participate yet. Out of town in December, sick as a dog with the flu in January.....maybe this month.

A slightly different subject but Greg opened the door when he made the "feel good day" comment. Yesterday I called RCBS about an issue I had with their extended shell holders for the competition seating die. The shell holders would "bottom out" on the press's ram before the bullet was seated (.22 Hornet and .218 Bee). Their response was to give me extra long extended shell holders for those cartridges. The operative phrase here is, GIVE and send at NO cost. These shell holders are about $16.00 each for the standard extended holder,I have no idea what the custom shell holders cost nor shipping charge would be, at any rate this is customer SERVICE.

I have had great experiences with RCBS Customer Service. They are available to answer questions and quick to solve problems (although they don't have a lot of problems). I had the pleasure of telling them thanks in person at last year's NRA Annual Meeting. I have been dealing with them since the mid 60's and I know a lot of other shooters who have had the same experience in their dealings. Greg also hit the nail on the head when he said: "Hard to beat gun folks." That goes for a lot of gun businesses too.
