Well if you didn't think that they could not come up with anything new as in regard to cases one would think yea like what. This story comes from the NRA's Shooting Sports USA. This new type of case from the company mentioned in the article is 9mm. So what makes this a new type of case you would ask. Answer it is a two piece design. Yes I typed that correctly it is a two piece design. The two pieces are of different metals. Yes you are reading right two different metals. The case head is of aluminium and the case body is of stainless steel. Oh and yes these are reloadable with special dies to accomplish this. There is on significant drawback to this case as in pulling bullets from a bad load but according to the article the company is working on this issue. The author of this article will sometime in the future do the load testing to see if they hold up as the manufacturer claims. This case might serve the competition shooter but for a guy like myself I think I'll stick with brass. So guys read over the article an do your judging on the matter. www.ssusa.org/articles/2017/2/13/goodbye-brass/

Interesting trick, but... looks complicated. It will take a while to perfect, I'm sure. They've been talking about plastic and even caseless ammo for years. I'll follow this with interest, but in the meantime, keep picking brass !

I too have read about these cases but don't plan on living long enough to see them replace my brass cases.

I agree gentlemen. I will stick with the brass a well. Yes they have to get this better as to make them a better sell. The article states that the manufacturer is to branch out to other calibers. Well they need to get this one better before they do that. As I stated earlier I don't shoot competition. Brass will last me quite a while be fore I need to replace. It will be interesting to see an update on these and to see any new offerings in the future.
