Hey, I saw this and thought of the group:

It reminded me that this is a great time of year to pick up a lot of stray lead that gets exposed over the winter at the range. May not be gold, but to me it's a precious metal !

YesI call any brass,lead, and even whole lead bullets that I find at the range as good as gold also. Yep every once ina while at the range I'll pick up a couple of lead bullets that are of the 38 cal in 158 LRNF that don't make it to the target. Yes someone trying their cowboy loads out. These are light loads as I can find these about 10 yards out.

Big fan of the 7mm-08 Rem.

A friend has recovered several thousand pounds at a couple of local ranges. Now I going to have to go to the Sierra foothills and see what is laying around!
