If you go to the Reloading, RCBS section of this forum, you will find that the considerable effort of mine, in how-tos and reviews, wherein I posted a crapload of pictures to support each thread, is just that......a load of crap.
In place of each picture from Photobucket's vaunted "free" photo hosting service, there is a BlackMail notice, that says in effect, "you want to see your pictures again? Pay us $400 a year. Over my dead body. I have erased everything on their site and closed my account. That took me 2 days.
It will take me a long time to replace each picture in all my forum threads. If anyone like a particular thread of mine let me know and I will "fix" that one first........this will take a while as I have to figure out which picture goes where.
I'm going to use Google Pictures to replace Photobucket, mostly because they came onto my computers and uploaded every picture I have in chronological order......therefore I think I can use their calender to find the pictures I need since each thread has a time line.

Greg, I just visited my account and they ask if I wanted more storage for a certain fee. I only have 3% used so far. Yep not a whole lot. For now I'll continue to use them.

Greg, I started to use them and what was advertised as free wasn't! As to your threads, I truly enjoyed all of them and appreciated your ingenuity . I'm not suggesting that you put them all back up though as I'm not a progressive press user nor do I load a high volume in any one cartridge 20 - 50 of one maybe 50 - 100 of another, 24 in all.

Greg, I just visited my account and they ask if I wanted more storage for a certain fee. I only have 3% used so far. Yep not a whole lot. For now I'll continue to use them. Hacker, if you posted any of your pictures here they've been replaced by their Blackmail notice. You have to pay them $400 a year to post on any 3rd party, forum, blog.....etc. This is new.....their old business model was free if you let them advertise while on the site. But I guess that didn't make enough money......they have 15 billion pictures now.....if they can get even $1 for each....... But that's not enough for those crooks. Bob, that's pretty much what I thought.....not much interest here in RCBS progressives. RCBS didn't help things by dropping my press already for a new model that works worse...... RCBS isn't the same company they use to be. Too bad, they used to make excellent tools. I don't think I will update my threads unless someone asks......I'm afraid I wasted a lot of time. There is a lot of crap going on on the internet these days. MauserCentral.com got wiped out by a slease ball who has automated servers fishing for sites who let their Urls go pastdue for even a minute......they grab, then they ransom the site.... or else....yeah they can and do close it erasing everything. Scum of the earth! I've been helping M.C. out recently to get back some of what they lost by using snapshots in the past to resurrect archives and resources. It's a long process but its coming back. Criminals get very rich screwing companies out of their web sites. We need to bring back lynching......some people need it.

Greg, As I'm typing this my photos are still in place and have yet to be replaced by the "Black Mail" notice. I wonder if I post something new would they put up their "Black Mail" notice??

Greg, From my perspective you absolutely did not waste time. I learned a lot of from your threads, whether I put all of them to use, maybe not but some I will. I am just now thinking of annealing some cases and may very will need to revisit your device. At any rate your time wasn't wasted even though you (we) have lost your threads.

Hi Greg-I always looked, although I've stayed away from progressives (both loading and political) and usually came away with an idea, or at least a "wow". I'm really sorry about the photobucket event. It seems more and more the internet is becoming less friendly and driven by greed, and I'm afraid it's reaching some tipping point as to its usefulness. In the meantime, I use a lot of flash drives and recently bought one of those obscenely huge external drives. I'm old fashioned enough to want my stuff in my own Unique-stained hands !

Yup Pooh, what you say is dead on. Flash drives and hard drives is why I haven't really lost anything picture-wise, but having to restore pictures in 5 forums I've posted in, through a host, in the interest of being helpful and nice to others, is a huge frustrating hit of my time. Trouble is,forums and blogs often don't have their own hosting or storage, so they use links to hosts elsewhere. Links directly to your computer or mine is a bad thing....not to mention, I for one don't keep my computer on 24-7. The ideal is for each forum to host their own pictures......ideal is not always possible.....Attachments is a great way to keep it on forum, but they always come with big limitations in size or number per post. The pictures below are maxed for this post using attachments coming directly from my Hard drive. (Remington 600 .243 & Ruger Mini 14 early model.) Compare that to the following (Mauser 98 commercial rebarreled in .22-.243 Middlestead) from the host I'm using now Postimg.org:

Well, isn't that interesting.....they fill up my screen just like photobucket's used to. Hacker's moderator powers can't see them or why they don't show? Shame you guys can't see them......they are big and bootiful. I cut the pictures down in size......can you see them now?

Actually Greg, now your first attempts have shown up as well go figure! Yes, I expected that, saying in my last post: That's because I erased the Google Photo code. Uploaded those two photos from "Google Photos" to "Postimage.org", copied their resulting direct link code and inserted that back in with the image button above, into that post. Postimg.org works for pictures.....but not for videos. I will have to upload all my videos to YouTube, I guess. Missing the Photobucket dual purpose, but not their lousy ads, poor speed & service, or dishonesty. Postimage also allows original or chosen pixel sized pictures.....size them the way you want before you upload to their site.....or upload them three times each a different size. Sigh......now for the work! I have a lot of repairs to do over 4 forums.....hundreds of pictures........and when will this history repeat? One forum, TheHighRoad.org changed to hosting their own pictures (that's a big step up from just attachments).....they updated their software for the better in January.....maybe they saw this coming. There are thousand of forums trashed by this, and millions of pictures ransomed. All thanks to a tech exec who thinks he's God.....and to hell with everyone else. Want a name? John Corpus

Well I did a brief look over Dan's post and there is photos and videos still up. There are some that are not there but have yet to see the "blackmail/ransom note" I'll have to check again later to look over some more.

Well it took a little effort but I canceled my PB account. They were messing with me on another forum though as here I hadn't even posted a picture or used any of their services.
