I went back to the range this morning. This time I brought everything Ammo, 3 Rifles, spotting scope, and Labradar. The Labradar chronograph was great the recorded velocities were right at expected and previously measured values. The real advantage for me,since I usually shoot more than one rifle in relay, it can be set up while others shoot(no skyscreens) with no cease fire needed. The instrument does calculate extreme spread, very useful, and the S.D. which to my mind is just a math exercise and has no correlation to group size or POI. I'm developing loads for my .325 WSM and the Ruger No.1 .243. The .325 is shooting very well with all loads so far, the .243 Win. is just break in buy has a lot of potential.

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Bob, we may get fooled once, but we generally come through on the second try ! (I would have loved to watch you packing for the second trip-I bet it was thorough !) I think that would be great to avoid the hassle of setting up the old Chrony ! (Also, nothing in front of the muzzle to shoot !

Yeah Pooh, I was pretty careful(anal) this time. Another great feature of Labradar is its ability to record velocities at your selected locations. I use V muzzle,V 25, V 50, V 75, and V 100 yards. It has trouble with sub .30 beyond 75 yards but the values are great information.

Worst feature, expensive. Especially when the same month I became aware of the product I had bought a CED M2, with all the goodies. I don't mind missing some things......that one was expensive to miss.

I hear you Greg, mine happens to be a "gift" from the asbestos manufacturers and distributors. Let me know how your CED M2 works out, my display has crapped out for the second time, and I really liked it, one of the receivers is not functioning which was one of the prompts to get the Labradar aside from the features.
