Don't throw away those Berdan primed cases after firing them convert them. Yes gentlemen I have found another interesting tid bit related to reloading. Remember the thread on reloading the 22lr and the outfit that makes such a setup. As I stated in that thread if there is a will there will be a way to get it done. Well that same outfit still has a will and came up with a way on how to convert Berdan primed cases to Boxer primed cases. These guys either love brainstorming or have way to much time on their hands or both. So as always here is the link for your viewing pleasure and feel free to place your comments. sharpshooter-22lr-reloader.myshopify.com/collections/products/products/berdan-military-case-loader-foreign-domestic

Looks like it would work but a lot of questions come to mind. Those of us that reload get a lot of information by “reading” the condition of our primers and primer pockets after firing. You know, excess pressure indicators, condition of brass life, etc. I wonder what difference this would make? Also I wonder about the aluminum bushing as to its strength and life. Personally I don’t shoot much in calibers that are heavily into the Berden Primer realm. The brass I pick up at the range that can’t be easily reloaded generally goes into my scrap brass box and sold at the recycled metal yard, once I accumulate enough the justify a trip. I guess; if I had enough Berden brass and needed to use it, this would be an option worth looking into. At this point I will add this as information in my training class on Metallic Cartridge Reloading in the secession where I cover Berdan Primers. I do talk about this companies product for reloading 22LR but in all honesty, I can’t say I give them a heavy recommendation on that product. However, it’s always nice to know what options are available. Thanks Gary, for this interesting heads-up.

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Gary, these guys do some interesting stuff, and I sort of cheer them on because they're not afraid to go out on the edge. I saw their punch to make #11 caps out of cans-that sort of has my eye. Thanks for the heads up !
