Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

I'm not going to go into competition with Hacker on product reviews, because I'd get left in the dust ! This item showed up on Shooting Wire and later on the weekly email from Tom Gresham. It is, a muzzleloader with a non removable suppressor. They thus claim, and purport to have sanction of ATF to assert that it's not Class III, based on the fact it's not a firearm and the suppressor is non-removable.

I guess I'm curious more than anything, as at first glance it appears to be an answer in search of a question. Honestly, the first thing that came to my mind was how to clean a suppressor after running BP through it ! I haven't scrutinized their federal legal assertions, and can only anticipate that some states, the usual suspects, will find fault with it !
I wish everyone well, but at an MSRP of a kilo-buck, it's the sort of thing I'd like to borrow for an hour to see how it works, and then return it to the owner, who presumably knows how to clean it. Kind of fun to think about, however.

Pooh, Glad you found this and shared with us. Oh yes I was going to put this on but ya beat me to it. I found this quite interesting. I see that it does dampen the noise level but watching and listening to the video I would still use hearing protection at the range. It sounded at least to me on about the level of a 22mag. In the woods it would get the attention of the animals and not scare them away as would a louder report of a firearm.
