Larry, The fires are about 25 miles north and while nothing is certain I feel comfortable that we are not in any danger. This so far is a repeat of the 1964 fire in the almost exact area, just now there were more homes.
Now it will be interesting to see what the liberals have to say as President Trump for the second time this year immediately released federal help to a state that has done nothing but criticize him.

Boy, there never seems to be a lack of excitement in California ! Drought, flooding, fires...and that's just in the last month ! Bob, glad you and yours are clear of all that !

Good to hear you're safe for now. Those fires change direction quickly and move fast! Keep alert and stay safe.
Try to keep the fires to where you can roast marshmallows and hot dogs.

I have one of my tractors near by my 2,000 gallon water truck is full and close at hand and I have a 150 GPM pump near my swimming pool w/25,000 gallons in it so I feel some what prepared. I also still have my firefighting gear.

My daughter came from Missouri, my son and grand son, my wife and I had a nice dinner of grilled "porter house" pork chops, corn on the cobb, my son, G'son and I share 10/5. G'son is 4 minutes early though @ 10/4.
