As we age do we get into the mind set "I'm too old for this kind of stuff" Well I found a nice article about a man that like a "Timex" just keeps on a ticking. Now I have read a couple of articles on this gentlemen's hunting prowess. This gentlemen does not let his age get in his way of hunting. According to the article he is 104 years old. He started hunting at the very young age of 65. Yes I have to admit that he puts me to shame. Here is one link to an article of this gentlemen. I hope you like the read. www.guns.com/2017/12/22/104-year-old-hunter-just-keeps-bagging-deer/

Gary; thanks for sharing the article. I'd like to share something with you guys. About 8 years ago I retired a second time and because I was "at that age" I started to slow down and not get involved in things as much. I had convinced myself that I was "too old". An "older" friend (had me beat by better than 12 years) asked me one day just what the heck was wrong with me. He gave me a good old-fashioned talking to. He pointed out my little pity-party and he pointed out a lot of guys older than me who were doing much better then me. He was my wake-up call. I come from a long line of men who had good quality long lives. I got back in the race! Oh, don't get me wrong, I have the pains that go along with my age and it does take longer to do some tasks but the main point is I still do the tasks. I am really enjoying being the old guy at the range or the club . . . after all; it took me a long time to get this old so why not enjoy being here. Guys; if that "I'm too old" thought comes into your head . . . squelch it! Now when I meet people older than me (there are still a lot of them out there) I kind of use them as a bench mark and note how I’ll be doing when I get there. Not to beat the old saying to death but “Age is a state of mind” and that’s true in so many ways. If you’re over the hill; enjoy the view from that side, too many people will not have the opportunity to see it. Age may change our pace but don’t let it change our drives and desires. ~ SnapShot

I don't know about you guys but 60 was a very tough mental year for me and that was a long time ago. My 3 yr. old Lab keeps me going when I'm not working, which is full time.
