This time a more well thought out split, the coast S.F. to L.A ( blue) with the interior (red) becoming the new state.

I have seen a couple of articles posted about this and no I did not get to read them as of yet. From just looking over very briefly and if it could come to pass. This would shake up electoral votes. Correct me if I'm wrong but those votes go by population the liberals would actually lose a few.
