Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

I caught a news item indicating that Remington is about to file for bankruptcy protection. The net is buzzing with people who don't understand guns or bankruptcy. My take is that it will be a reorganization, and we'll see Remington around for another couple of hundred years. They have done some dumb stuff of late-their handling of the 700 trigger was inept, Marlin was mishandled, and a couple of new products, well, shot them in the foot. Should be an interesting story to follow. Stay tuned.

Yes saw some tib bits on this but yet to read anything as of yet. I agree that management is the problem in way somethings have been handled. You stated the 700 problem as one. The R51 is another one to add. The R51 when first out seemed good but then the problems started. It got that bad that they recalled the whole thing. Since they had to more or less redesign this handgun to make it function they way it was intended to. The frame stayed the same. They reworked the internals and now have it where it is to be.

Being a Winchester fan, but do have a few Remingtons, I really have not followed their path down the present road. They should have stuck to their basics and approached the "millennials" with greater caution.
