Feb. 26,27, and the 28th were the last three days of small game hunting here in PA. I was out all three days in search of squirrel and rabbit. This was also the only time I got out since the deer season had ended. It was either way too cold or me being sick. These three days were pure joy to me. The temps were in mid 50s and Wed. was just above 60. In keeping with my son-in-law's 22Mag challenge I took the 22Mag. Was enjoyable to see all the game in those three days. Flocks of Snow Geese and Canadian Geese flying North. Seeing deer and turkey. seeing a groundhog out and about on Wed and on the way out of the woods that day seeing something in those wood that I've haven't seen in several years a Ruffed Grouse. Oh I did bag one squirrel on Tue. This one sat still long enough to get the crosshairs on it. Alas did not see any rabbits sitting out. Even only bagging a single squirrel those three days were as I stated pure joy. Now to get my gear ready for Spring Turkey that starts April 28-May 31, 2018.

Hacker, I know you've had some health issues, so I can identify with getting back outdoors after a recovery. Sort of makes you appreciate it even more than ever !

I live in town..........if I walk a block, I can see probably a thousand Canadians feeding (and pooping) on the grass of the park where the Connie Mack World Series plays come August. Sitting geese....you can't shoot at! Today I skipped church and or hunting. Had a Carpal Tunnel operation Friday Aft. So can't go hunting anyway. Typing one handed on this stupid computer is better than staring at the walls. Yesterday was a "bitch" today is tolerable. Doctor promised 2 weeks and I can play....we'll see. Have my doubts.

Greg, hope the procedure provides you some relief from the ongoing problem. We get piles of Canadians on some of the lawns around some of the bigger buildings in town. They do produce a lot ! Not sure which is more annoying, them or the gulls hanging out at WalMart !

i guess we shouldnt complain. my son works in boulder colorado. in the parking lot people get divebombed by red-tailed hawks. the liberal of all cities protects them. no fly swatters allowed even.
