In our firearms training class “Introduction to Handguns” we came across a number of seniors who had difficulty racking slides and loading magazines. Also for those with arthritis or just old fingers and hands there was difficulty working the safeties. I wish Smith & Wesson had the M&P 380 Shield EZ available then. I just picked up mine and let me tell you, if you or anyone you know has any of these difficulties this gun is the answer. I expect this to be popular with our older students who want good home security they can easily handle. My LGS sold it to me for just $345. Take a look at this link and watch the video at the bottom. www.smith-wesson.com/firearms/mp-380-shield-ez-0

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Sharp marketing move by Smith. (I didn't mean that comment to be negative. I firmly believe that it's possible to well by doing good.) Definitely an alternative to some of the suggestions we might have made to older people new to shooting.
