Because of our weak governor, by 2019 we will only be able to use non-lead for everything so I'am now working on "monolithic" rifle loads for several cartridges. I've tried some in the recent past and found them good to excellent. My problem is I want to use them with my proven powders which aren't necessarily listed so I am going to get Quick Loads, any body tried this program? What experience do y' good all have with the monolithic bullets good or bad?

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

I kind of hate to say this Bob . . . but Poo has a point. We love it over here in the free state of Arizona (a little sorry about rubbing it in). As to your original question . . . my experience with mono bullets is limited to some trials with .223 stuff. What I did shoot was comparable to lead core but don't have any good load data to share. Good luck, please share your findings.

As pooh said"it might be easier to move" but who's going to buy the ticket? Larry, you're not a bit sorry about rubbing it in! There is talk around the dining room table about Missouri, though my heritage here goes back aways. My daughter and son in law live there.

Our battering is all in fun my friends . . . The sad epitaph to this story is the fact that these laws and restrictions of our rights is very real. I loved California for many many years, leaving was a sad time in my life. Either way you go, good luck Bob
