It is with a sad heart that I tell you Max is resting comfortably watching over us and ever eager to hunt and play!

I missed a lot, I'd say. Didn't know your dog was Max.....I did know your old hub name....too dumb to put it together.
Sorry for your loss Bob. He'll be waiting for you, dogs get good at that here don't they......you just got to get everything done here first. We can have a happy life and missing our friends is a crucial part of that. The memories make that possible....as does faith in the reunions to come. Both provide the necessary faith and hope to really be happy don't they!

Friend Bob ~ Those of us who are truly Dog-people understand your loss and offer you what little we can in understanding your loss. As I type this Patches is laying at my feet. He is getting up there in years and I know that day is getting closer all the time. Hang in there my friend and remember all the good times you had together. ~ Larry

Bob ( & friends) ~ Strange how things happen in cycles . . . My avatar is an old picture of myself with my Australian Shepherd, Patches. Yesterday morning I had to deal with him having a stroke and then putting him down later in the day. These are difficult times but a time to reflect on the great blessings our pets bring us. ~ Larry

So often, the critters are more than just critters. I'm sorry about your loss, Larry. Hope Patches and Max have connected.

What some call pets I call family. It's always hard when dealing with a loss of a family member whether it be two or four legged.

So sorry Larry.....seems like when it rains it often pours. Good thing there's really the other side. I have lots of faith in what's coming. It's all good. The testing is here, graduation is there. On the subject of raining and pouring, I have a good friend who lost her sister two weeks ago......the evening of the funeral her elderly mother followed her. Some thought how could she bare such a horrible catastrophe in one week. My friend only counted the blessings. Her sister was really sick and terminal.....her mother was very old, companion-less, and heart sick over her daughters long illness and passing. They are back together...no more oldness, loneliness and no more sickness and her mother's with her dad too. My friend wondered how people could think there a minus to that.....except for missing them until it's her turn to travel.

I am so sorry to hear this. I know what they mean to us. Like others have said on here they are family to me. It may be horrible to say but I have mourned much longer when they pass than I have over some humans.

Dan ~ I have to say the same is true of me. I think that comes from their loyalty . . . few humans in our lives can ever match up.
