Well I made it back to the woods to hunt. I and my hunting buddy went one afternoon before Thanksgiving. We took our 22s for bushy tails with no luck. We teamed up yesterday 11-26-18 for the opener of the rifle season for deer here in PA. As my luck would be I see a few bushy tails and no deer. I didn't know how my side would be as I have off and on issues with discomfort where I had the drain in. I was told scar tissue and could plaque me for the rest of my days or it could lessen but God only knows. Even with my discomfort it was a joy to be back in the woods again.

Sorry no joy, but glad you had time to enjoy the woods. That time is great and healing!

Bob's right. I woke up one opening day in a hospital wired for broadband. The next year, getting out there had a special edge to it. Enjoy !

Well gentlemen the season closed yesterday 12-08-18 and no deer for me. Not sad at all as the five days I and my friend got out to the woods together was quite enjoyable. The four days I got out after opening day I felt good and did not have any discomfort. I saw deer the four days but I could only shoot a hat rack. Now my friend had doe permit and missed one. We did not go out Saturday instead we went to a gun show with his son.

Glad it's going better ! A friend of mine had rotator cuff surgery, and wasn't ready to shoot. Fooled 'em-he took a nice doe opening day, with a muzzle loader, left-handed ! As for me, it looks like I will do my part to keep a few out there !
