Looking for smokeless loads for the .45 75 Winchester for a 1876 Winchester Centennial non replica. I have run through Quick Loads but wondering if anybody has information or experience.

Bob I tried a brief bit on the internet and didn't find specific data as of yet. I did locate my Third Ed. of Cartridges of the World and found one load that using Lyma's #456192 not sure if mold still around. The book list one load of powder 4198 grains at 24 It does not specify IMR or Hodgdon. It list a MV of 1380 and ME of 1486 The factory ballistics are MV of 1383 and ME of 1485 This is on pg. 111 of my copy.

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Hi guys- I took a look through my stuff-I thought for sure Lyman would come through in one of the Cast Bullet Handbooks or the black powder manual. There's the stuff Hacker mentioned in Cartridges of the World, and I did find a quick write up in Ammo Encyclopedia 5th Ed., but no load data ! Looks like Larry's got a hot lead ! Let us know how you come out !

Thanks guys, I'll try Load Data as I hadn't thought of that source. The rifle is a good friend's and he wants to use it for Elk next fall so I and another friend of his ,a very experienced loader, will try to come up with a good load for these antiques(he is my age). I'll let you know the out come.

Looking for lead bullet source .458- 350 grain for the .45-75. It is one fun rifle to shoot. Shoot at 200 yds., pull the trigger take your ear plugs out and listen to the hit!

Measured in feet per hour! I didn't even think about that'till we were at the ranch, not sure we were get to the house. The road in is 6 miles of dirt at a 10% grade through a lot of trees many were burned in the 2018 Ranch Fire.

Bob, Would love to help.....but if it's not .22 LR, .38sp, 357mag, .40s&w, or .45acp pistol, or .22 LR, .22-243, .223, .243, .308, .270, or 30-06 rifle, I'm dumber than a stump........I know absolutely nothing.......
But I'm always wanting to learn..... .45 75 Winchester ......what's it for.....nostalgia or more than that? You got a picture of your firearm?

Well Greg, we can discuss the .22 LR, .38 Spc, .357 Mag, .45ACP, .223, .243, .270, or .30'06 I can' help much with the others and I am dumber than a box of rocks(I work primarily in the dirt). I just think I know it all!
I have broken one of my prime rules and am helping a long time and good friend/hunting companion put together a load for this rifle. He wants to take an Elk with it this fall,he is a crack shot and has killed a number of elk over the years and the 350gr. bullet should do the job at a reasonable range. As far as pictures go , the rifle is a Winchester Centennial model 1876 and original in excellent condition. I don't know how to upload pictures .
