A Federal Court essentially shut down California state mandated background checks for purchasing ammunition as well as importing it. I believe NRA has a site regarding this.

Congratulations Bob! Got to make you believe there's some hope left for American California. We hope and pray that more of the resistance to liberals and their anti American, anti-freedom, anti-gun agenda, can start to thrive from within it's own Borders.

I know I moved out a few years ago but I still support the NRA and CRPA (Life Member in both) and their California efforts. I support their work because I hope to turn things around in Cali and prevent the spread into other states. I use many of the California activities as talking points with the ASRPA (another Life Membership) folks here. Turning things around in Cali carries over to work in many other states.

I like your last comment best Greg. The options you mentioned are under consideration though.

Bob ~ I read that and thought of you. Hang in there and DON’T LET THE BASTARDS GET YOU DOWN! It’s been almost three years since I left Kalifornia and I have not had a moment of regret. I do feel a great loss when I think of all the good years when California was truly a great state. We have helped my son’s family and my daughter’s family both move close by. I still support the political efforts of NRA and CRPA but I’m just too old. Unfortunately, theres getting to be less and less “free” areas to locate to. We are in Northern Arizona and all’s well (for now). However the Phoenix Valley in the south has been dealing with a major liberal influx. I’m too old to handle the winters in those great northern states. I loved living in Wyoming but I was in my 20’s not my 70’s. When I was looking into locations to relocate I selected areas in Arizona, Utah and Texas. This country is being ruled by judges and that is the biggest risk we face when we elect people to positions where they can appoint judges. This election is critical . . . . Oops; how did I get on this soap-box, sorry. ~ Keep your powder dry.

Face it, it will get worse before it gets better. Civil war would be the worst of all, but it may have to come to that to get rid of the evil we face. We will have to trust in the new generation to come into some common sense.....and that doesn't come free. We are too old to make any difference at all except with our own kids and grand kids. We better be about that business.....
Only 5 years ago, I'd rate New Mexico up there with Arizona and some of the North Western states, but already it's been handed to liberal idiots, and it'll take a miracle to get it back.

I may have said this before but here goes. My father who was a moderate conservative said this to me about 65 years ago,I was preteen,"as long as you have a gun you have a vote". I've never forgotten that phrase, given the times(Dwight Eisenhower was president) ,though I fully understood what he said I had never thought too much about it 'till about '09. What did he foresee?

Our dad's were a lot alike with foresight . . . but look what they had been through.
