Gentlemen ~ I don’t want to turn this blog into a personal soap opera but I wanted to let you regulars know I’m back among the living. A few weeks ago my bride rushed me to the local hospital. I was incoherent and in pain throughout my body with heigh fever. No-one knew what was wrong and they started testing for everything. The third day they identified a bacteria in my bloodstream. Five more days in the hospital with many more tests and heavy duty I.V. Antibiotic treatment I started getting better. They let me go home but I had to return daily for more I.V. Antibiotics. I’m heading to my regular doctor this afternoon and hopefully the end of so many monitoring/test visits. The experts believe that this was all caused when I was stuck with a yucca bush. It was a very deep puncture but the plant wasn’t the issue; the barb had a nasty bacteria on it. I pulled the broken barb out of my arm and stopped the excessive bleeding of very dark blood. All that happened for the next three days was a tinder spot at the wound sight, all else was normal. The third morning, I went loopy, had a high fever and was racked with pain all over. They tell me it was a very close call. (?) Sorry to use this space for personal stuff but wanted to check-in with my friends here. ~ Keep your powder dry, Larry

Larry, I thought you were immersed in trying to find a load to make your 5.7 shoot ! I'm certainly thankful you came through-it's amazing what will get you. At the time, the yucca was an annoyance, and you might have allowed yourself a bad word or two. Then look ! There is some scary stuff about, my friends. Be careful !

Larry I thank God that He pulled you through this. I like Pooh thought well he's working on that 5.7. No you didn't turn it into a personal soap opera as to letting us know what's going on. I'm just glad you are back with us and will wait when you're up to working on the 5.7. Take your time and heal.

Thank you, my friends. It is amazing how something so small that it can not be seen can knock us down and almost out. During yesterday’s visit and debriefing they shared that I experienced a heart attack during the second day in the hospital. The other bombshell they shared with us is the need to follow up with an oncologist next week due to a cancer issue on my spine. (?) Honest; I was just pulling a weed in my front yard . . . I was minding my own business.

Larry with the problem with my liver two years ago being abscessed. If the keg would have ruptured before they tapped it I would not be here. So with all the testing they put me trough they found I have two aneurysms that have to be watched. Glad they found the other issues and can nip it early so they don't become big problems.

Oh, boy!.......and last halloween I was minding my own business, just pushing a little fertilizer spreader on my little but hilly front lawn....minding my own business. Next thing I knew I was in the ER trying to keep my heart from stopping.....and just scarring the hell out of my family.....
Come to think of it, I was poisoned too......Dr. Pepper habit.....too much sugar does that, if you enjoy it long enough.
At least you can stay the hell away from yuccas........as for the cancer.....there are anti cancer things you can do......
like taking 8 drops of Lugols Iodine every day. What it does with cancer cells is it makes them mortal.....and they die like normal cells.....they call it apoptosis which literally means, "the death of cells which occurs as a normal and controlled part of an organism's growth or development. It also does that to breast, throid, overy, and prostate, cancer cells.
What?! You weren't a serious X Files fan? They had an interesting episode about that Indian legend, part legend, part satanic religion, all evil. Old generation Navajos won't even talk about them. Nor will they look at one who practices it....sure they will die if they do. Other cultures have their shape shifters, werewolves, satanists.....Indians have their Skin Walkers.....and they are serious as heck.
Those who practice the dark art gather secretly for ceremonies, and of course kill outsiders. When they practice the art, they wear a wolf skin over their heads and backs and leave their homes in the dark and are said to change into wolves with the strength of a bear.........an Indian trader I once knew (now deceased) claimed to have seen one in his yard at night, and he thought it was a wolf, and shot it. It leaped over his fence and disappeared....
He and a Hopi policeman tracked it the next morning, both having never seen wolf tracks that big... and their was some blood. After a mile or two of tracking in a wet sand wash (rained that night) the tracks became human bare feet....but the blood trail continued for a time.....then stopped...never found any more trace. Tall tale? Maybe....maybe not.
That old trader lived near Page Arizona. He said he was in his yard that night with his gun, because his two dogs were being attacked by something....one was dead and the other was hiding when he saw the thing he shot.

Ok, Larry. I waited ten days because I don't want to crowd you. Without going into any detail you want to avoid, how are you feeling ?
Greg, thanks for the Indian lore. We've got some interesting stuff with the Abenaki here in New Hamster. That was a heck of a tale you told !
Hope the summer's shaping up for everyone !

Well ~ I’m still fighting battles on three fronts but for the most part I am gaining ground and getting stronger every day. I actually went out on my own today for the first time in over three weeks. Seemed odd to actually drive again. As to the original issue of blood poisoning, I am waiting for some lab findings to show that it is ALL out of my system. When the results come back clear I’m okay, if they show ANY bacteria I have to return to the hospital. As to heart issues and possible damage from the bacteria I should know more next week, I am still going in for blood draws and tests a couple of times a week. As to the cancer question all those tests are on hold until the blood experts are satisfied that they have beat the bacteria. It could be later in the year before they move on this issue.
To follow up on Greg’s skin walkers . . . I love reading Tony Hillerman’s books about the Navajo Policemen and their suspense dramas. His writings are very real when he describes the locations in his adventure novels.
Thanks for the kind thoughts and good wishes. ~ Keep your powder dry, Larry

Friends ~ I got a call last yesterday from the blood specialist. I am free of all the bad bacteria. One issue down and two to go. In as much as this is the one that came close to killing me I’m glad to know we own that battle. As for the heart doctor, I’m not as concerned with him. Much like Bob said he found things that concern him and I have already lived through those storms. I wonder how many people out there have had heart attacks and never knew it. The cancer issue doesn’t seem to worry the experts very much. They tell me we will address those issues in weeks to come. Again, thanks to all of you for your concern and prayers. ~ Keep your powder dry, Larry

Glad to hear you are doing better, Larry! Now as for the cancer......ever heard of Apoptosis? Google the word......then under the "dictionary" you will read this: In lay terms it means that cancer cells are ofttimes immortal, and so they keep dividing until they kill enough normal cell that it kills the host.
There are things that cancer cell's don't handle well.....they interfere with their resistance to the normal body function of constantly replacing cells. One mineral actually causes apoptosis in most cancer cells, and wears them down and kills them, but it doesn't affect normal cells because they are already are affected normally by apoptosis.
So in other words cancer cells are dangerous because they are immortal....until the host dies. What's the mineral that makes them mortal? Iodine. And the best safe way to take enough iodine to do some good is to take Lugol's solution. I take it every day (been doing so for 2 years now, and big pharma thinks I should be poisoned by it and dead. They know better....but they don't want to cure anything....that would put them out of business.
But I'm not dead ... and my prostate is healthy again. I'm 70 1/2 years old now, and I used to have to pee 3 times in the middle of the night......now I don't have to get up at all. My doctor son-in-law thinks I'm telling him a story....says all 70 year old men have to get up 1 or twice, and those with prostate problems even more. The only time I have to get up is when I drink a quart of water just before bed....and I don't often do that.
Now as to spinal cancer......that often starts in the prostate.......give this a try....It's tasteless to put 2 or 4 or 8 drops in a half glass of water....and it makes a difference, and big pharma doesn't make a dime.
You can buy all you want, but the government limits them from selling more than one bottle of 5% at a time.....you can buy a box of 2% but only one bottle of 5%.
I wondered about that and did the research.....that's a favorite ingredient for the scum who make meth in home labs so the government restricts 5%. But you can order all you want one order at a time. (Government stupid)
Anyway Larry and the rest of you guys, do your own research and see. And BTW, its super effective for women with breast, or female cancer too. For them have them check out this book from a breast cancer survivor.....Lynn Farrow
