Remember the following 2amunitions.boards.net/thread/637/41-rem-mag Well now I'm the pround owner of a stainless steel Ruger Redhawk in 41 Rem. Mag. I've been wanting a revolver in this caliber for quite sometime. Now this is a used firearm but in very excellant condition. This was a way better deal than the LGS that's about four blocks from my house. Both were close in price but I got more with the Ruger. The Ruger had Hogue finger grove grips of the rubber kind and still had the original walnut grip panels with it. It also had a 2x20 Nikon handgun scope in the silver finish mounted on it (which I had them remove) along with a extra set of Ruger rings. Now to top it off it came also with a Bianchi "Ranger Series" bandolier type holster. All this for pre tax and NICS check for $850. To me I think I made out good with all the goodies that came with. So to add to the monetary amount I ordered today Lee dies also the Lee FCD some cast bullets in the 215gr SWC and Starline brass. I have powder and primers. Now when those items come in it's to the bench to work loads for this coming deer and black bear season. Oh forgot to mention it has a 7.5 inch barrel.

Congratulations on your new toy. It's always fun news to hear when one of us acquires any addition to our collections. The excitement of the buy is as much fun as the first shot. I have always leaned toward the big-bore handguns and have acquired many over the years but somehow I've never managed to add a 41 Mag to my collection. In fact, I can't recall ever shooting one. I've never heard a negative word on the caliber but just never went down a path that lead me to one. I know you will enjoy working up loads for your new caliber and I want to hear about your successful hunt.

Sounds like a nice gun. I bought a S&W 44 mag a year ago with the intentions to hunt but with my bad back I kind of gave up hunting permanently. I shoot paper these days with 240 gr SWC cast bullets over H-110. I hope you enjoy you're new addition and bag yourself a deer.

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

The deer are trembling, Hacker ! The .41 Mag is something I've looked at for years, but the opportunity, cash, and inspiration never converged. Yet. Have fun !
